Our story

Elevate the
everyday

Happy Go Picnic began with a simple observation: San Diego has one of the most beautiful parks in the country, and almost nowhere to grab something lovely to eat in it. So we're opening a little shop in Bankers Hill, a few minutes' walk from Balboa Park, filled with the things that make an ordinary afternoon feel like an occasion.

A shop for people who believe a Tuesday deserves a tablecloth.

Curated

Every shelf is edited by hand. If we wouldn't gift it or eat it ourselves, it doesn't make the cut.

Effortless

A beautiful picnic shouldn't take planning. Walk in, pick a box, walk out into the park.

One-of-a-kind

Vintage flea markets near and far yield one-off finds — ceramics, linens, and little curiosities that make each visit a little different from the last.

Think of us as a well-stocked pantry for your best days. Grab-and-go lunches up front, specialty foods and pantry staples along the walls, and one-of-a-kind gifts and small luxuries in the back — vintage finds, ceramics, candles, and a bundle of tulips by the door. Whether it's a picnic in the rose garden, a last-minute dinner party, or a Tuesday that needs rescuing, we've packed it so you don't have to.

Because life is better with little luxuries to go.
